    A beautiful Ice bird?

    My sister and BIL just came back from a 3 weeks holiday in Thailand. One day, this bird came to visit and they snapped a few pictures. They have always loved birds, have several feeders in their garden - that might be the reason they now have the orangie visit too - yes, they are becoming very attached to that cat, admit it or not!

    Here's a few pictures of the bird - I think it's called an Ice bird. Isn't it beautiful?

    WOW!!!!!!! that has to be the prettiest bird i have ever seen!!! that is so cool!! It at first dosent look real!! that is just way too cool!!!

    It really looks like a kind of kingfisher (I know that's what you mean by ice bird as we call them Eisvogel here as well ) but the most beautiful one I've ever seen.
    I know they exist in Asia too.
