As most of you know, I was torn between the catahoula litter and my friend's litter of shelties. Well my catahoula breeder still hasn't contacted me so it's most likely that I am getting a sheltie pup after all.
The puppies were born last Friday so they are eight days old. Three blue males, two tri females. I want one of the blue merle males, and this is the one I have my sights set on so far. We are going to see how they turn out first though. So far he appears to be the most showable, but we'll have to wait and see. I love his markings -- he has two big black patches on one side, and one of them is shaped like a lightening bolt (which is cool because they were born on the day that the city and a huge portion of the province had a power outage. Taboo started having contractions right before the lights came on). He will have a nice white blaze, not too thick and not too thin (I like it inbetween). And he has a grey patch behind his head and one on his chest. The other ones are cute too. One will probably have too much white for show, but his markings are very unique, and the other will probably not have enough merling for show (his spots are dissapearing), but he sure looks like his mom. Kelly wants to keep the tri female with the most white, but Taboo's breeder has first pick of a tri female, so she may have to keep the other one instead.
Taboo and her babies (2 days old). The one I'm probably getting is the merle with the most black.
