The Health Department said Milo is in 0 trouble. I think everyone admitted what the child had been doing to the dog, but most likely sugar coated it a bit. So he is not labeled as one.
However I personally will handle him as such. He must be muzzled at all times when out in public (after his quarantine of course), but I'll only allow that with his soft muzzle & once I feel he really isn't a threat to anyone 75% of the time. The muzzle will be for people or children I do not spot in time that run up to him, or if I drop the leash, etc.
I personally cannot ever trust a dog like him in public. I have seen what he can do, and I know he was mistreated for so darn long. Its honestly not fair to the public nor himself.
I do plan to take him to the dog park to help socialize him in the warmer months, WITH the permission of everyone already in the park. I did the same when I first got Charlie (minus the muzzle), as I didn't know him well enough. Everyone was fine & he was a pretty good dog, just too excited & hyper.
