Anyhow, I have contacted Trinitys breeder and told her everything that has been talked about. The home would have to be approved by Trinitys breeder and a contract signed, as she wants to know at all times that her pups are in a good home and no neglect.
Trinitys breeder (Lisa Downey) is located in Manquin, VA. I will try my hardest to give you all an update asap. Thanks for all your help.
This is the dane, her name is Maddie. Although the pics haven't been updated lately.

Thanks Heidi! :)
I had a feeling you were swamped @ work!
She is GORGEOUS!!! Seriously, is she good with cats?! I've been looking for a big dog, and wanted to adopt over the summer while I'm home from work (teacher). I've been looking at Danes, Rotties, Mastiffs etc... I love alone with my cats, and besides loving big breeds, I feel safer having a larger dog with me rather than a small dog. I live in an urban area, but have tons of parks and my parents own a 100acre farm, which is 30-40 mins. away.
If she's still available, how would I go about getting interviewed and stuff??
So that you can get a quicker answer i did some sleuthing work, I'll PM you the info that i found.

You sound like a perfect home, Unfortunately we found someone for Maddie, I hadn't been able to catch up with Heidi to update her. The owners of Maddie really wanted to keep her, but their situation didn't allow it, we were lucky enough to find someone near them that was interested in doing a long term 10 month foster until they got their house. It worked out well for both of them as the foster home had a dane that really needed another playmate to work on his socialization. And for the owners because they really didn't want to give her up. As a retired breeder and a contract that states that all rehoming, needs to be done through me, it is possible that another situation could come up. I had another returned in January do to a divorce. We ended up keeping him ourselves, but with 5 danes a boxer, a shih tzu, 3 cats and 3 kids, we just wouldn't be able to take in another, hence why we were looking for a placement for Maddie. Would it be ok if I kept your name on File and let you know if something else came up? If you have found something by then it would be ok, but you just sound perfect, that would be a great match for a dane. Sorry if I got your hopes up, Thanks so much for your love for animals that you would consider taking in Maddie. Keep in Touch.
well I'm glad to hear that!Quote:

Wow, what wonderful news! Good for everyone involved. ...you did tell her to go ahead and keep your information on file right?
