Michelle, I received both my PT Cat Calendar and customized mousepad yesterday. The calendar looks great.:) Unfortunately the mousepad wasn't lined up correctly when it was printed so some of the purple border is missing and they added some white edeging around some of the borders too.:(
I called Cafepress and I spoke to a wonderful lady who said that they could print me another one at no charge and I can even keep the defective one so that I won't have to pay to ship it back to them.:) The reference number on my receipt didn't match up with the correct picture and I didn't keep the link that you had given to me. I had to upload the picture that you sent me and then I had to pull it to fit it in the mousepad area. The lady could then view it and said that it should print fine. She's also going to make sure that a printing specialist will oversee the printing to make sure that everything is done correctly. I should have it by Dec.13th or sooner.
Here's a picture of what the defective one looks like. My batteries in my camera were also dead so the pictures of the cats look kind of washed out. They really look much better in person. Just look at border though.

Wow - they really did mess that mousepad up, didn't they. I'm surprised that it wasn't caught before shipping.
Last year, thanks to Michelle's design, I got a mug and a mousepad, and the work on both was perfect. Glad that you'll get another without a hassle tho. :)
Tracey, if they haven't printed it yet then I can send you the original. It is much larger is size and higher in resolution as well so there will be no stretching needed. Sorry the print job turned out so bad on the mouse pad. The white border you see is actually the 'raw' mouse pad. It is white in color so there is just nothing printed where you see the white. Going to send you the mouse pad file now. (FULL SIZE)
Well I received the new customized mousepad on Mon. and it looks better than the first one but there's still some white on top. At least this one is more lined up and straight because the first one looked a bit crooked. I"ll just live with it as it is because it's still useable. I guess pictures with frames must be harder to print correctly.

Definitely better than your first one. But they need to work on quality control.
Wow! So I'm not the only one having problems. Michelle pm'd me this morning and she's going to contact Cafepress. My second one was also supposed to have a printing specialist overseeing everything. They really do need much better quality control. My second one looks similar to yours except that it still has more white on top and the bottom portion of my purple frame is almost cut off at the corners.
This is NOT acceptable. People are paying for items that are being sent out sub-par. Under the item picture they say WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET....NO...this is not what you are getting. I made sure to use THEIR template & FULL BLEED so that there would be NO problem. I am not happy. I am waiting for them to get back to me. If I do not get satisfaction from the email then I WILL be calling. I will torture them until they get this product out to you both in the way it should be.
You can see by the picture Freedom posted that it is twisted slightly. This is just ridiculous.
Okay so I received my third customized mousepad today. Although it's better than the first two, it still isn't quite what I was hoping for. I don't think that they'll ever get it right. I think the border is what is causing most of the problems. Here are pictures of all 3 printing attempts.

I have just emailed them a second time. I have removed the last names of the Freedom & krazyaboutkatz & the order numbers etc. so as to keep that information private. But here is the email I just sent them.
Hi Jennifer S., I have just received a message from 'Tracey', the lady that was not satisfied with her mouse pad. I don't know what is happening there but the mouse pad is still not right. While the newest one is not as bad as the previous ones it has now be cut off across the top. I am assuming that it was stretched larger to be sure that there wouldn't be white across the top once more.
I also just clicked on a link in an email that was sent to me because I had placed my own order and it was a link to the video about quality control on YouTube. It seems by reading through the comments that the negative comments about quality and misprinting started about 2 weeks ago when we (my customers) also had problems. It seems to be only happening with the mouse pads for us, atleast so far that has been the case.
I have another customer with the same problem with a mouse pad she ordered. While she doesn't seem to mind (she said it didn't bother her), I do. The customers name is 'Sandie' & her order number was ?????????.
Please let me know what can be done. And please make sure the items, while they are to be printed at FULL BLEED have NO white on them, are NOT twisted/skewed & are NOT cut off like the last mouse pad of 'Tracey'. I know I am being particular but these people paid for a product to be made in a particular way and Cafe Press notes under every single preview of each product NOTE: WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET....yet, that is not happening in these 2 particular cases.

Thanks Michelle.:) I sure hope that they'll be able to get their quality control under control or they certainly will lose many customers.
I just received my 4th mousepad from Cafepress today. So far it's the best one that they've done. I did notice that both Storm & Blaze are now facing in different directions and there isn't the window pane effect between my cats pictures either. All in all I'm very satisfied though. I'm sorry it photograph very well. Here's the mousepad:
