I am doing this as a graduation gift for Mike; since he is graduating in 2 weeks from THE Ohio State University. :) I thought it'd be a nice gift; a painting of his dog that he is very inseperable with. His name is Dozer, a black lab. What do you think? It is not complete yet; but so far, I think I am doing alright..

Very good! I know he'll love it. Anything made from the heart is a special gift. And if it looks great, that's a plus :D When I was dabbling in paints decades ago, acrylic was my favorite, as well.
Looks great so far! I am not an artist (in any way), but I imagine doing the black must be hard to get the shading right and all that.
