Spot
Eleven years ago, March 16, 2003 we brought home our wonderful boy and today we had to let him go.
It was because of Pet Talk we had our Boy (look up the thread from 2003, A Dog Rescue in Progress if you don't know his story).
Spot was an amazing dog, rescued at 2 1/2, he fit in to our home, with his two doggy sisters right away. He spent many years as a therapy dog, a favorite of the kids at the local libraries. He adapted well to a new human sister who loved to chase him and be chased. He made friends (maybe too good of friends?) with several of Pet Talk's fluffy tailed girls, Huney, Keegan, Dazzi, and now he is reunited with them again. I imagine there is a big PT picnic going on at the bridge today to welcome Spot, Phred sitting in the middle, handing out treats.
Tomorrow would have been my brother's 36th birthday. Spot was one of his favorite dogs. Happy Birthday Rob. Take care of our boy til we see him again.
Rest in Peace Spotty Boy (aka Bubby). We love you and miss you.

Awww, rest in peace, Spotty boy! We remember when you became part of the family, and know a certain little girl will love spotty dogs her whole life because of you!

So very sorry for your loss. He was a handsome boy and a very lucky dog.
I am certain Casey is welcoming him at the Bridge as well.

He sure had it made, being in a PT home. RIP Spot. I am very sorry for your loss.

Oh Amy & Ralph, I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet Spotty boy.
Thanks for linking his gotcha thread, it made me smile :)
Rest Easy, Spot, and enjoy the Pet Talk reunion with Phred & your girls. Glad I got to meet you, buddy.

I'm so sorry, Amy. :( Spot was a gorgeous big boy and has been a part of your life for so many years - I know he has enjoyed every moment. :) You will of course miss him. How is Lauren taking it?
Rest easy, sweet Boy, and then join your many friends at the RB.

Sad woos over Spot's crossing the Bridge, but your lovely thoughts about Phred sitting in the middle of a Rainbow Bridge picnic and handing out treats to welcome Spot warms my heart & brings a smile to my face. I'm pretty sure Star & Shermie are right there for treats, too. Looked back & found this picture I'd like to share with you, its from Oct. 2005

I enjoyed seeing the picture of Sherman & Spot as much younger pups back in the day.:)

I cried Friday when you told me and now I'm crying again. Spot was a special boy and I'm so glad he was able to have such a wonderful life. He will be missed, but I know he'll have lots of friends at the bridge.
Goodbye sweet Spot.
