Owl Pictures
Some friends and I were driving down a country road today when the driver stopped and pointed out an owl in a tree. I happened to have my camera in my purse so I took a few pictures. After a minute or two it flew to another tree. In the other tree was another owl that flew away. So I took a couple more pictures of the first owl. Isn't it huge? The other one was a similiar size.

Great photos. He - or she - is a barred owl. I've never seen one in the wild!

What a beautiful owl. Thanks for sharing these pictures with us.:)
Don't they usually only come out at night?

Those photos are absolutely perfect! The owl is one of my totems and years ago I collected owl figurines until it got out of control. Thank you for sharing the pix. What a great photo op for you. :)

WOW!! Beautiful pictures! Just this past Sunday morning we had an owl perched in our back yard. I ran for my camera and took a picture (from the dining room window) but it came out too dark. You got some great shots there! Aren't they beautiful!

That is really cool! I collected owls for a time too - and then somehow switched to angels. Anyway I have only seen one in the wild - that is so wonderful and I am glad you had your camera with you. Thanks for sharing!

I remember once when I was very, very young there was an owl outside one night hooting. As a kid I didn't know what the heck it was, so my dad brought me outside and shined the flashlight around in the trees until we saw it and he pointed it out to me.
That's the ONLY time I've EVER knowingly heard or seen an owl in the wild in my entire life!!! And they're supposed to be in Missouri, but it could have fooled me! :)
