Hi everyone!
Hi everyone, I am new here. As you may have guessed by my username, the name is Dan. When I lived at home with my parents we had an awesome Norwegian elk-hound named Thor. I miss him a lot. However, I just graduated college with a degree in economics and now live in town.
I have been looking at possible getting a puli (dreadlock dog). Have any of you had experience with this breed before?
Anyway, it is great to be here. I look forward to meeting many of you. Cheers!

Wellcome to Pet talk Dan. What exactly is a puli or dreadlock dog?.

Welcome Dan!
Puli is a Hungarian breed doggy that has long dreadlock-like curls. Wonder how the grooming would go? Don't know about breed or dogs in particular but looked it up to see for myself. :)

Pulis can be a lot of maintenance as they are growing, and the cords forming, but then they are pretty much "wash and go" from what I understand! When you are ready, check pet finder.com first - you never know what's out there in rescue waiting for a home! I know some people keep their puli in a short "puppy cut" for ease ... but it is definitely up to the human, they are busy, happy dogs, but they are herders, so be prepared for a lot of exercise and keeping it entertained!
And welcome to Pet Talk! I am sure Thor taught you how to be a good dog person!

Welcome from across the ocean!
My name is Lut, I am from Belgium, and I am owned by 4 pretty lady-cats, named Maya, Inka, Zazou and Snoopy.
Theya re a handful, but I love them to pieces!!
I don't have a dog myself, but my daughter has one, a border collie, and I love him very well as well!
