Farewell, Cassie Kay (05/1995-08/2009)

I just spoke with Katjaye a little while ago... Cassie Kay kitty has joined her great love, Twinkie Boo. They were very bonded, and after BooBoo passed in June, I was afraid CassieKay wouldn't last long.

Cassie Kay went to sleep today and didn't wake up. She went to the place Twinkie always laid. Dave found her and took her to be cremated. Katjaye woke up from her nap and CassieKay wasn't anywhere to be found and when she found out what happened, she was heartbroken and called me to let me know.

Cassie Kay was my birthday kitty in June of 1994. she was just a little ball of fluff. Oh, how I loved her... I tried to hide her and not let my momma know we had gotten another kitty, becuase money was super tight. I never could keep a secret from her though... I show up at her house with pictures of Twinkie Boo, and forgot to make sure there weren't any of Cassie Kay. So momma was looking through the TwinkieBoo pictures and says, "Well, who does this kitten belong to?" "uhoh! busted" So she learned about her newest grand-kitty that way.

We were out of town once, and a flying cockroach got in the house... our friend Jason was staying at the house and nearly killed himself trying to get it away from Cassie Kay. I can't remember the whole story, but it involved Cassie Kay, the roach, a ceiling fan and a rolling office chair... and Jason ended up on the floor with Cassie Kay running over him with the roach in her mouth, victorious!

As with Twinkie Boo... Cassie Kay lived with Dave & Katjaye. But they were always in my heart and on my mind. Cassie Kay, jump high at the rainbow bridge sweetie... catch all the flying cockroaches your little heart desires... and please snuggle Twinkie Boo for me.

RIP Cassie Kay, have fun at the RB.

I'm so sorry to hear about Twinkie Boo and Cassie Kay. I hope they are now playing at Rainbow Bridge united for ever.

Oh, I'm sorry about Cassie Kay. She wanted to be w/her love. I know that they're snuggling and cuddling now and living life just as they did when they were in your tender care. RIP, Cassie Kay and peace to your humans. :love:

Godspeed to the Bridge, dear Cassie Kay, and have fun playing with your Twinkie Boo. Peace to your whole family, who loved you both very much; drift in once in a while to let them know you're free and happy and together!

Cassie Kaye, you found so much love in this world, I know you will share that with the many at Rainbow Bridge who couldn't find any here.

After posting my condolences here, I will be off to reapply my make-up. What a nice trip down memory lane. Hopefully more of those kinds of memories will help everyone as they mourn the loss of this dear one.

I am so sorry to hear about Cassie Kay. I am also sitting here at work in tears. :( It breaks my heart to hear how she left to be with her Twinkie Boo.

Great Tribute story of the flying roach..

Two losses of dear dear furbabies a day apart...that is so horribly heartbreaking. :(

Cassie Kaye and Twinkie Boo are at the Bridge, happy and together again. Please, dear kitties, let your people know you are fine and that Cassie is teaching all the kitten angels how to chase roaches.

Sleep softly, pretty Cassie Kay....

Twinkie Boo was there with the Owesme Orange Animal Angels and laid down the Gold Carpet for Cassie Kay as she got her wings of silver and gold in historic Zurich where Twinkie Boo and Cassie Kay had breakfast brunch together, and will be toh=gether from this day on.
And they will have Two Families to greet and love when you are all reunited in a Very Special Place.

I'm so sorry!! :( But there's some consolation in the thought of her being together again with Twinkie Boo... Sounds like her heart just broke apart over the loss of her dear friend! :( They must be something like twin souls!
