What's on her belly?
The last little while Clover has had these red marks all over her belly and some circles. The circles sometimes wash off so I thought they were dirt but I duno, this time they won't wash off. I left them to see if it'd go away but it doesn't seem to be going away. Do you think this is serious? I'm going to take her to the vet for this but I'd like to see if anyone knows what this might be. I hope my pictures are clear enough to see.

Anyone?

It looks like a yeast infection to me. She will probably need antibiodics from the vet.
-
Has she been itching them or licking them?
-
I noticed her licking it a lot today but I hadn't noticed her doing it before.
-
I was thinking yeast as well; my Willy is highly prone to this sort of thing. For him, I have to be sure to use grain free food and treats -- yeast feeds on carbohydrates, so the grains are out.
The large area above your finger (first photo) 'could' be a hot spot developing. If it is, you can apply Gold Bond powder up to 3 times a day to help it heal.
Let us know what the vet says!
-
Yes, will be curious what the vet says. Does it look any different or better yet?
-
The vet said it's an infection. I got some meds for her (expensive! $130 vet trip today) anyway this should clear it up!!
-
Just curious
Did the vet mention what type of infection and what may have caused it? What meds did you get for it? Just curious, in case the same thing happens to my Prue Prue.
Glad your Sowa will be fine and surely hope the problem clears up soon!
Vets are expensive, I know, having three cats and one dog.

We're not sure what caused it. But I'm pretty sure the medication is called clavaseptin. I don't have it right in front of me but I'll check after.
-
Clavaseptin is amoxicillin, and is for skin infections. I still think this is a yeast infection.

Looks like something Beenie had months ago but it cleared up on it's own. I never saw her licking it though. Hope your pup is better.
-
It's clearing up. Still a little bit around but for the most part it's doing better.

It is good news if it stays cleared up but I have to agree it does look a lot like a yeast infection to me too. I hope I'm wrong.
