Scooter
Scooter left for the Bridge on Thursday morning.
He was a semi-feral that lived inside for the past 4 years. He never really got over his fear of me, but would let me pet him if I sat on the floor. He became very thin in the last couple of weeks. Temptations didn't tempt him any more. Time for a vet visit.
The diagnosis was a liver disease. His gums were yellow and the prognosis was not good. Scooter was not a candidate for medications or sub-q fluids.
Run free at the Bridge, my little boy. I will miss you.

RIP Scooter. I am certain that you felt the love that your Meowmie had for you. And you lived in comfort and safety, even if only for a while. You left your mark on this world by touching a human heart, and are now rewarded with eternal health at the Rainbow Bridge. You shall meet up with your human mom once again and the reunion will be wonderful. Good bye, dear Scooter.

Aw, what a sweet face Scooter had. Be comforted in the knowledge that you gave him a good life for 4 years, years that some other cats will never know. He knows peace now and soon you will, too.
