This cat has shown up at my house an I must say it's a gorgeous cat. Please help me identify him. He's got points on his ears, opposable thumbs, and 6 claws on both his front legs.

Definitely a polydactyl kitty! Do you have a picture? If by points on his ears you mean tufts, may be Maine Coon or some other breed like them, or Siberian or Norwegian Forestcat!
