Come on *OUT*, #4!
Isn't "Dad" allowed to Play wiffa Kids?
Or, is there fear he might not "play nice"??
AWWW! So cute! The babies look a lot bigger already.
Congradulations! You must be so happy. I really like it that you are giving us frequent updates, as I think it will be very interesting to see the little birdies grow up.
Just think of me as another happy auntie to these babies!:)
Awww!!! Milly looks SO cute taking a bath, and Roger seems to be so curious. Like he wants to go in, and his mommy won't let him! So adorable. :D Baby #1 looks so much bigger than the other two now. I wonder if #4 will hatch? Can't wait till they open their eyes and start growing feathers. Then they'll be super adorable!
I think "Dad" has already proven himself to not play nice, Phred. It is probably because he hasn't been in the same cage with Milly since these particular eggs were laid. Dad is going to have to watch from afar!!!! :)Quote:

Roger was very interested in the babies, and on two occasions went over to them and appeared to be "nibbling" on them. I couldn't risk his hurting them. If he had remained in the cage, all along, while she was sitting on the eggs, I would probably feel differently, but since he didn't, I'm probably being extra careful.
Logan
I agree with you. I wouldn't have taken any chances. Maybe when the babies are older Roger can join his family :D
BABIES!!!:D They are so adorable, and mom and dad are gorgeous!! I can't wait to see them open their eyes, and start growing even more:)
Aw, such cute babies! Roger looks like a proud papa to me! (maybe a might confused, but proud):D
What wonderful family photos.:)
I think Roger looks like a real proud papa even if he can't be in the cage with the babies right now.
From what I have read, both parents are usually very involved in the raising of the babies, but I certainly understand your caution, especially since he didn't help sit on the eggs before they hatched, his instincts might not be the same towards the hatched ones.
They look so happy, you are a wonderful bird-mom to them all! :D
Oh Logan I had no idea you had birdie babies....they're adorable! I've always thought they looked a little like prehistoric birds:o How old are they now?
