It's rather amusing that you are named after Pallas Athena, holder of the Aegis and protector of the Greeks and much beloved of Odysseus, yet you are a Persian cat. Of course we remember the fierce and desperate battles fought by Pericles' army against the marauding Persians. Thus is the power of the feline race and COTD to destroy the barriers of war.

Dearest Athena, what a stunning Persian growing girl you are! You just have the sweetest little face there, with those big pale-yellow eyes and that look like you're smiling your cat-smile. And your beautiful grey, black, and white fur is so very soft-looking. I would love to send you some pets and hugs right through the screen to Massachusetts, my former home state! But since I can't, I'm sure that your loving and beloved Meowmie will give you some pets and hugs for me :).
You are not only gorgeous, you have the most delightful Purrrsonality too. You are your Meowmie's girl, aren't you. You are bringing her comfort as she grieves the loss of her late cat who'd been with her 14 years. You have been with her since you were a young kitten of 12 weeks, and your Purrrsonality is evolving as you grow up. You come when she calls your name and sleep cuddling up either on or right next to her. And she's the only one in the family you let catch you. You and she are precious to each other. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
