I read an update on Sammy's Care Page today ... waiting for Christmas and so far, so good with the new kidney! Go, Sammy, go!
Little glitch from Samantha's Care Page - she is being treated for a urinary tract infection. Cause for concern because this is the second one she has had since her transplant.
But ... she turned 8 a couple of weeks ago! Happy 8th Birthday, Samantha! :D
More prayers and Happy Birthday greetings for Samantha!
Merry Christmas, Samantha and family! :D
I got a CarePages update that starts, "Everything's fine and Sam is 9!"
Happy 9th Birthday, Samantha!! :D
I saw the Carepages post too- Wished her a happy birthday, she's grown into such a lovely young girl!
Sam got a ton of pressies on her 9th birthday. EVERYthing is horses with her, EVERYTHING, right down to her mannerisms. She will answer yes with a whinny, and no with a neigh...LOL. Cute to everyone but my spoiled brat.
She is doing well. She belongs to a saddle club, and I think it is every other Saturday. They would like to get Sam a couple of horses (maybe my sister and Sam want this more than Sam's dad :0).
Happy belated 9th Birthday Samantha!! I'm glad she had a nice day and lots of presents. I'm with her on the horses! I'd love some! :D
I got another Care Page update. Samantha still had a fever but not as high as it was initially. She is getting IV fluids, medications and would like to go home. Sammy and family, I am thinking and praying for you !
Sam has moved from the PICU to a 'normal' room at the hospital. She spiked a fever again last night (102), and is still on the IV fluids. My sister said even she (my sister) feels puffy. She also said Sam woke up today acting better, feeling better, is eating and drinking, and she still hopes they are 'sprung' tomorrow (Friday). Seems like it was e-coli, and is not related to her kidney, thank God!
Please keep thinking and praying for Samantha. She had another fever and had to go back in to the hospital. The doctors changed her antibiotics slightly to help treat the infection better.
More prayers and healing energies for dear Samantha.
