Who couldn't be impressed w/a smile like that? It puts the rest of us to shame when we complain about our troubles. Prayers going up right now......

Dear Samantha, I have you on my mind and heart again this evening ... How are you? how was your Christmas? Did you receive lots of neat gifts?
Thinking of you,
Elyse

Sam is now in the big Kindergarten! She is attending a 3 day a week full day private school, today will be her second day. I haven't heard yet how it went. :)
Let's see...Sam knows a fair amount of sight words (smaller words that a beginning reader learns by memory, which helps her acquire bigger word skills), and seems right on target with the other kids she is in class with. (She could teach a few educational things to her less skilled nephew for sure). She was a delight to see over Christmas. I will see if my sister will let me post some pics of her.
Thanks for thinking of Sam!
I'm sending best wishes and lots of good luck to baby Samantha.
Just visited Sammy's page & she is doing well! Wow, has she grown! Still keeping her & her family in my prayers. : )
HEY ~
We got a *snow* pictue ... Christmas can't be far behind!
Her **SMILE**will brighten your worst day ... we should all count our Blessings! :)
Happie Summer, Sammy!! :D
I was just thinking of Sammy the other day and wondered how she was doing!
Forgot she had a page...heading there now.:)
Would someone please refresh my memory and let me know the location of the web page. I joined way back when but have lost the site.
Thanks
Sas

Time to get the prayers lined up again!
We have known for some time that Sam would be a kidney transplant recipient. The by-product of her illness caused renal failure. The time for the transplant surgery is here, Tuesday, November 30, 2010, to be exact. Sam's mother (and my sister) is the donor. Somehow, God saw to it that Jessica is a good of a match as a biological parent would be. Just remarkable.
So, on Tuesday, my sister and Sam enter the operating room at the same time. Jessica's procedure is somewhat "simple", but of course still scary, life altering, etc. Sam's procedure is a bit more complicated, and involves a long recovery time. We prolly won't see Sam for Christmas, and they skipped Thanksgiving to ward off as much extra germs as they could. The hospital is on limited visitation schedule, as it is the flu season. So, I won't see them for months, probably. :(
Anyhow, I ask for prayers for my neice, Samantha, my sister, Jessica and her husband Rob as they travel this next step.
Thanks,
Johanna
Samantha, your family and you, will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Cataholic, I'll be praying!
A gazillion prayers for everyone. What a miracle that Jess is the perfect donor. That poor child has been through so much in her lifetime. What a little trouper.
They will be in our prayers. It is nothing short of miraculous that Jess can be the donor! Hugs to them both - very gingerly ones!
