Prayers that Roger's lymphoma is very treatable and that he has a quick and good recovery.

Prayers are being offered for Roger. I hope his type of cancer is very treatable.
I had to put my cat down in April and I have lost many pets through out the years. Most of them due to old age - 12 + years.....anyway here is a poem which is my moms favourite for all pets who have passed...I know it is not a prayer but it definately is meaningful....

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
The couple that I cat sit for (I've known them for about 15 years) lost a son today in a fatal car crash. He was driving in his car early this morning and lost control going around a curve. He went head on into a big ditch and somehow the car came up and hit a tree and that's when he went flying out the back window. Ken leaves behind a wife and two young sons. We are all devastated. :(:(
How tragic Slick. :( :( Many prayers and condolences for you and the family. :(

Pet Talk has its own group on gratefulness.org where you can light a virtual candle and leave a message. There is a thread about it in cat general and a cross-post to dog general, but this thread is easier to find so I thought I would put a link to the candles here as well.
Thank you,
Elyse
Ken had type 1 diabetes for over 20 years and from what they can gather, he blacked out behind the wheel. He just got off working graveyard shift and was about 4 km from home when it happened. This is #2. #1 was a kind man who was the son-in-law of a lovely lady on the 11th floor of my building. He hung himself on July 10th. Again, he leaves behind a wife and two young daughters.
As my grandmother used to say, everything comes in 3's.:(
Pathologies won't be ready for another week but Roger can come home either Sunday or Monday, if his system begins to function properly again. :)
Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers.
slick...just prayers, prayers and hugs and hugs.
That parents are back; the funeral was on Sunday. Over 300 people packed the church and the whole community came together to help out the family. Because the children are out of school, a different church volunteer shows up every day to take kids out and show them a good time and this will continue until September - and of course there is the food...miles and miles of food showing up at the doorstep. It's amazing what a community can accomplish and thoughts are turned to others.
Roger is now home from the hospital. He had a Chest CAT scan and PET scan done before he was discharged. He has to have a bone marrow test and Nuclear test (to make sure his heart and organs are strong enough for Chemo) still.
Once those results are back, we'll know how to procede. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
Sending prayers and love to those of you who posted before me. I have been looking at this thread since I joined but never had an occasion to ask for prayer. . .until now.
My husband Barry has sustained a nerve injury in his back that is affecting his right leg. We're not entirely sure what happened and he will probably have to have an MRI in the next week or so to see exactly what is going on, but he is in a lot of pain. So far he is taking anti-inflammatory meds and doing physical therapy to see if that can begin the healing process - it's only been a few days, but he is still hurting badly. I feel very helpless in the face of this and so does he.
I feel that if he is in the good hearts of the PT folks, he will benefit by the healing thoughts and prayers that will go out about his injury.
Thank you all for being there. . .
Cathy
Prayers for Barry and you, Cathy. I hope the pain can be managed soon, and that it fades quickly!
{{{{hugs}}}}
He'll be in our prayers. A friend recently had surgery for a pinched nerve in his back that was causing him leg pain and difficulty, I hope Barry can get some relief quickly.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone...seems like everybody could use a hug and prayer lately.
I could use some prayers, we are apartment hunting again and this time THANKFULLY money isn't the issue but we have some issues in the credit department that are making it hard to find a place that will rent to us. On top of it all I found out I have something called planar faciitis (sp?) in my right foot. Im not sure what it is exactly I just know it hurts! *sigh* real life didn't seem this difficult when I was a teenager...
You will be in our prayers. Do a search for Plantar Fasciitis -there's been a thread about it lately.
I think nearly everyone in the whole WORLD has Plantar Fasciitis !!! Ouch! I feel your pain. We can all hobble along through life together, offering support and prayers. :D
Love to you all!
Cathy
Prayers for those that need it!!
One, please. My mom and dad have a friend, Ken who is in the hospital for the second time this year with pneumonia. He has chronic lung disease too, so when he gets pneumonia it is hard to get rid of.
Oh, and I have a praise too, my sister got to stop all her hyperthyroidism medications for now! Yay!
Hi guys, I would like to ask for prayers for Lilycat's cat, Nevvie, and Lilycat, herself. Nevvie was dx with a vaccine induced fibrosarcoma in December of 2008, and underwent surgery to remove the cancer. It came back in May. He underwent surgery to remove it again this July and is on his second day of radition today. Tomorrow, Wednesday, will be his 3rd day. He has 17 more days to go. Each day requires complete anesthesia. Nevvie is staying at the Care Center from Monday am until Friday pm, and then returns again that next Monday, until treatment is complete. This is VERY hard on a 10 year old precious boy, and his meowmie.
Prayers for a successful treatment, and limited complications would be appreciated.
Poor Nevvie!
I am sure the vets thought it might help, or Nevvie wouldn't be going through this.
Many prayers and good thoughts for him and Lilycat - healing love flowing through you and surrounding you.

Prayers sent for Nevvie and anyone else needing them.
On a positive note, we did get an apartment :). Thank you for those that sent positive thoughts and prayers.
Many prayers for Nevvie and his Mom too!
And also prayers for all who have asked.
I wanted to thank you all for the positive flow that you all must have put out there for Barry because within twenty-four hours of posting, he started to feel relief!!
He is doing his exercises (I nag him!) and taking his anti-inflammatories and basking in the prayers from the PT folks.
Love love love!
Cathy
Great news Cathy! I am SO glad Barry is feeling better!:)
I want to send out good thoughts and prayers to everyone that needs them.:)
Please pray for all who perished on the helicopter and small plane that crashed in the Hudson on Aug 8. The pilot of the Cessna was my best friends's daughter's father in law. I know the family fairly well. All are suffering indescribable pain now. Too tragic for words.
Please pray for my dad. He is only 61 years old. He is too young to die.
He needs to make it and watch my baby girl grow up. I love you daddy.
I've been thinking & praying for all those involved - so sad. Will say a special prayer for your friends - can't imagine how hard this is for them.
I know I don't post here much anymore, but I do follow the prayer thread & send prayers & love to you all. Sending special sibe vibes to your dad, Beeniesmom.
I'm saying some extra prayers for this prayer thread
God Bless:love:
Praying for the families and souls of those that died in that horrid accident over the Hudson.
Beeniesmom, huge prayers for your dad. Mine was too young - 67. Sending healing thoughts that your dad will pull through.
Hope: A week ago a senior fellow (older than your dad and mine ;) ) had heart surgery and "it wasn't looking good". I went to see him yesterday and he has improved by leaps and bounds. He wasn't in bed - he was down the hall doing a crossword puzzle! :) Still tired, but doing way better - up early for his walks and exercises and all.
Prayers your dad does the same!
Prayers for Beeniesmom's father and for K9Karen's friends.
Please pray for Jessica....
