This is such a fun thread!
OMG that photo is gorgeous :D, thankyou so much for sharing it.
Trevor that is a classic, gotta love aussie humor :D.
Here's a website with an A-Z of Australian slang. Might help you to understand your guests.:D

Thanks so much for that website, Oggy. I've already printed off the slang.
I'm amazed at how many of the same slang sayings we have in common with you blokes down under.
BTW, I've been practising my Aussie accent for the bathroom talk you gave me, and I think I've got it down pretty good, but I figured I better make sure with you.........if I say that with an accent, the Aussies wouldn't be offended, would they? I'm hoping they would take it in the fun spirited way it was meant.
You should see my dancing moose I got for them. I'm really hoping he's a hit!:D
I remember one sentence I heard all the time during our trip in Australia, years ago: " Wanna cup'a??"
I'm loving this thread, he he!
I'm always jealous whenever I hear Aussie accents and then compare it to my own, boring, Californian accent. :p I bet I could sit and just listen to someone who has one speak all day, LOL.
You are more than welcome, cloverfdx, I just love bears!
Hey, I just noticed, we're from the same place!!! Okay, so maybe your Victoria is in Australia and mine is in Canada but they're both Victoria!
Hehe i am the same, i have a friend from Colarado and i could listen to hear talk for hours on end :D.Quote:
