on the eyeball itself or the eyelid? Freckles on cats' eyelids are common, but usually found more in older orange cats or cats with lighter colored eyelids
My Mac is 12 going on 13 and very orange. He has freckles near his eyes, nose, and mouth. As long as the freckles aren't on the actual eye, I'd say things are pretty normal for an orangey. If the spots are on the eye, yeah, get it checked.
They are on the eyeball. SHe is not an orange tabby. Attached is a photo of the large brown spot that has been there for a yr, but you can't see the smaller freckles...
It doesn't look like anything serious, but I'd have it checked just the same. My sister has blue eyes, like me, but one of them has the same brown flecks in it. Hope nothing is wrong with your dear kitty.
You know, it's best to get the vet to check it anyway, just in case. Wouldn't want it to be a sign of cancer, but it could be.
Neko started having brown specks in his eyes many years ago. They have since taken over his one eye as he's gotten older. It doesn't seem to impair his vision and my vet has told me it is nothing serious.

I have a friend who had a tabby kitty that had something very similar. The vet said it wasn't serious either.
