Happy 2nd "Gotcha" day, Dixie!!! December 17th.
I cannot believe it's been 2 whole years we have had this amazing dog named Dixie. She has been such a joy to own and we couldn't have asked for a better dog to help our hearts heal after losing our old dogs Rocky & Jenny.
We adopted her in 2009 at 9 weeks old. When she came into my shelter, there was just something about her that caught my eye and I am not sure what it was. Her sweet face, her deep brown eyes and such an innocent look to her and not to mention the fact that I adore black dogs. Plus I was in love with her speckled paw that looked like she got dipped in cookies and cream ice cream.
I told my boss that I would like to have her if nobody came for her. And nobody did so she was spayed and got to come into our home December 17th which is also my parent's wedding anniversary so it couldn't have been a better date.
She was a dream from day 1 and slept through the night and still does. She never kept us up at all. She was house broke pretty darn fast too. She does like to make herself known, though through her roo-roo-roos! She is a really vocal dog, a true terrier. :) I do not know what we would do without this little cutie. She is just wonderful. She can be a little crazy sometimes, but who isn't? ;)
I am so glad someone abandoned her, so we would have the chance to enjoy her. They have no idea what they are missing out on! She is one fun dog and we hope to have many more happy and healthy years with her and her adventures through out life! We love you Miss Dixie Pixie!!! :love:http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...01432077_n.jpg
