Welcome to Pet Talk! With that crew, sounds like you will fit in well here!
Welcome to Pet Talk!
HI! I'm Sandie. I live in Rhode Island. I did TNR with feral cats and kept every kitten I trapped -- I was supposed to socialize them and adopt them out. I already had 5 cats when I started volunteering, when I had 11 cats, I stopped that volunteer work.
So I signed up to foster with a bichon frise breed rescue. AND adopted each and every dog they sent to me. I've had 9 bichons in 6 years. I currently have 3, the others have passed on.
I also keep a fresh water aquarium, and have several bird feeders outside all winter long.
Glad to have you with us!
*wave* I'm Elyse. I'm in the Chicago suburbs where it's pretty cold tonight! I have one cat, Cassie. My dad has a bird feeder and watches the visiting birds all through the year, so I get to see the birds when i go to my parents - they live 2 towns over from me. Welcome to Pet Talk!
Thank you all!
I understand the cat thing. For some reason TNR is hard to start in my area (they want $$$ for the traps and people keep dumping unaltered cats, so the cycle continues).
All three of my cats were the result of dumped pregnant ones. Two were born in my house and one spent his first few weeks as a feral kitten.
Welcome from across the ocean!
My name is Lut, I am from Belgium, and I am owned by 4 pretty lady-cats, named Maya, Inka, Zazou and Snoopy.
Theya re a handful, but I love them to pieces!!
I don't have a dog myself, but my daughter has one, a border collie, and I love him very much as well!
I am sure you will love it here!!
