Okay, now it's my turn.
If my company (a company known for their SAFE cars) had a mascot dog, this would probably be it. It is of northern Spitz heritage.
I don't know how many hints would give it away, so I'll start there.

Its it a pur bred? I dunno looks like I will be doing some reaserch! :D
Yes, it is a purebreed, but was almost completely gone by the early 40's.
This rare breed is not AKC registered at this time though it is accepted in the UK and Canada.
well is it the saarloos wolfhound:confused:
I am going to look for the breed!
Lowchen?
nope, none of those names match. I will say that the breed is such that it could go by another name, but the name I know it by is the name it is shown by in the UK and Canada. The other name isn't so much a name as a description (that's the last good hint I have to give on this one, so you get it tomorrow).
here's another hint:
Some historians believe this breed is the ancestor of the Corgi and was brought to the Isles by Vikings. Although it is near the same size as the Corgi, it has longer legs and a shorter body.
okay, i'm not sure and it's my first try at this game, but is it some kind of schipperke?
Nope. Sorry.
This dog is also known as The Little Viking Dog. In Sweden, it is believed that this breed is indigenous to the country and goes back more than 1000 years to the days of the Vikings. In 1964, with the Swedish standard revised, the breed became known as Vastgotaspets ("Spitz of the West Goths") after the province in Sweden, Vastergotland. From what I read, this name didn't hang around long and isn't in use much any more. An even older name is Vikingarnas Hund - or Viking Hound.
Swedish Vallhund ????
You Got It!!!
Swedish Vallhund.
If you check the Swedish Vallhund Club of America web site, you can see pics of this breed doing agility work. Though not very large and not very heavy, it looks like it actually enjoys what it's doing in the pictures. They are not difficult to care for, but do need lots of exercise.
That was a tuffy! Thank you for the chalenge!! I am guesing it is my turn again. Ok now for an easy one :D . I will post it next. I need to go search lol.
Ash
Here is a poem about the breed.
His stature tall, his body long,
His head like nights, his breast like snow,
His fore-leg pillar like and strong,
His hind-leg like a bended bow,
Rough curling hair, headlong and thin,
His ear like a leaf, so small and round,
Not Bran, the favourite of Finn,
Could rival John MacDonnell's hound.
As fly the shadows, o'er the grass,
He flies with step as light and sure,
He hunts the wolf at Tostan pass,
And stands the deer at Lisanoure
The music of the Sabbath bells,
O Con! has not a sweeter sound,
Than when along the valley swells,
The cry of John MacDonnell's hound.
is it the scottish deerhound?
or irish wolfhound?:)
Irish Wolfhound! Good job Premabella! You can post the next breed!
