Kitty found 760 miles from home
Hi PT friends! There was a great story on our local news tonight. Heathcliff was adopted from a shelter in February and shared a home with a woman in Sicklerville, New Jersey. A few weeks ago Heathcliff got out. His owner couldn't find him and with the Atlantic City Expressway a few blocks away she feared the worst. Well, she got a call from a shelter in Lawrenceville Georgia earlier saying he's there safe and sound! According to the story, this sweet little orangie was microchipped before leaving the shelter with his new Meowmie.
Plans are currently being made to reunite Heathcliff with his Meowmie. The question on everyone's mind is how did he ever wind up in Georgia?!? A special thank you and bless you to those who helped and cared for Heathcliff on his great adventure!

Sorry for the misunderstanding, Catty1. This little sweetie is named Heathcliff. I'm sure everyone agrees this is the best possible argument in favor of microchipping.
Kitty found 760 miles from home--UPDATE
Here's the latest on Heathcliff. About 3 weeks ago Heathcliff got out and jumped into the back of a U-Haul truck. The folks in the truck had no idea he was in there until they stopped and heard meows. The woman in the truck decided to keep him as a pet but Heathcliff ran away and was found in someone's garage. The home owner found him in her garage and took him to the shelter. At the shelter Heathcliff was scanned, the microchip was found and his New Jersey meowmie was contacted.
Someone offered to drive Heathcliff back to New Jersey so he'll be home with his meowmie and kitty brother this Friday.
Heathcliff, sweetie, don't do this again!!!
