    I have 2 Garter Snakes, Miami(female) and Jiffy(Male). they are easy to care for, fun to watch(being hunters they actually DO stuff lol), they eat more then just rodents so they are easier on the budget to feed, and they come in a tone of different types and morphs to choose from. Jiffy belongs to my mom, he is a Plains Garter, smaller and more hardy when it comes to cold. Miami is mine, she is a Checkered Garter..they need to be kept much warmer as they are from hot climates.
