i took a alot of Jake, Beanie and Gracie pics yesterday. Jake left yesterday afternoon to Indianapolis to get his ears recropped. the right ear wasn't cut enough the first time and it won't stand unless we cut it again. :(

What a cutie! And boy oh boy is he growing something fast or what. I've missed seeing Gracie & Beanie, it was so nice to see more of them. Thanks for the pics! :D

You know - I'm not very fond of Harlequins, but you do have one handsome hunk there! His sire is one of the best looking Harlies I've seen, so I can imagine Jake is going to be quite the looker!
Beanie probably isn't going to be too happy when Jake is 10x his size lol. He's the perfect size for Beanie to play with right now though. ;)

Great pictures! How tall and heavy is Jake now? He is such a BIG boy! :D :)
Crazy-Cat-Lover, i'm not sure how tall he is, but he's he's weighing somewhere around 50lbs!
poofy, Jake is going to be a show dog. there are two different kind of ears accepted at AKC dog shows. cropped or natural. i prefer the cropped look.

Those are really good pictures of some beautiful dogs. :D You can really see the muscles in Jake where you are trying to stack him. I never realized Danes had that much muscle. Are they pretty strong dogs?

I chose to keep my Dane puppies ears NATURAL! I love their floppy ears, besides -- I couldnt put a puppy through the pain of cosmetic surgery. :(

there's nothing wrong with prefering cropped ears. :)
.sarah, the dog isn't show marked. he may have won only because he was the only dog in his class. who knows what the judge was thinking. :confused:

i have no idea. thebreeder and i were talking about that yesterday. i hope it turns all or mostly black, but he'll be just fine whatever color his nose is. :)

How nice it is to see your whole crew, they sure are sweet.....Poor Jake, I hope everything goes well for him this time ;)
His nose has a good chance of turing all black. Cracker's was all pink when he was born and slowly over time it turned all black, mostly by the time he was one. If not he's still cute just like it is.

He's growing up to be quite a handsome boy! :) Sorry to hear about the re-cropping though. That must be a huuuuuge pain for both of you guys, although I really do like the look of cropped ears!
You probably already know this, but I just want to comment about the hindlegs. They're a taaad bit too forward. You probably already know, though ;) How's he doing with the freestacking?

thanks everyone! :D Gracie and i are leaving for a dog show in Chicago today. we'll have more pics on monday or tuesday!
Giselle, i'm fully aware that his back legs are a little forward. :) that was one of our first training sessions. not too good. he's getting better though! his freestacking is getting better everyday. Jake is with the breeder until monday. he said he'd work on stacking and freestacking him.

Sorry to hear about the re cropping but I'm sure they'll look good.
It's so great that him and Beenie play and get along so good like that. I'm sure when Jake gets bigger he'll be careful with his little brother;)
Ohhh and that gorgeous Gracie! She has one of the most adorable faces I've ever seen. She's really looking like a young lady now:)

He's growing more and more handsome every day! I commend you for keeping up with the mantinence of cropped ears! I wish Jake was coming to Chicago too. Then again I don't think unentered dogs are alowed at the bench, are they? I'm looking forward to meeting you and Gracie. :)
