What breed do you think Camen is?

When i take Camen to the dog park, there is always someone asking me what other breed he is with Akita.
And was wondering what other PT'ers thought Camen could be.

He has really long legs so maybe some Greyhound? Lab/Akita/Greyhound/Ridgeback/Shepherd? :confused:

Thats really hard, but in some ways he reminds me of a pit bull...

I see lots of breeds when I look at him, however Akita is not one of them. Do you know for sure he has Akita in him or is that your best guess?

I don't see Akita or Pit Bull... the other choices of breeds look likely to me.

My guess... Ridgeback/Lab, maybe a few others thrown in..
What is his coat like?

When we got him from the SPCA they say he is Akita mix, but not to sure?? his coat is short and kinda soft and fluffy. kinda like a cat coat but thicker.

I've changed my mind. I really don't see akita in Camen. I see Greyhound/Shepherd/Lab.

I found a lab/ridgeback mix. He looks a little like Camen.

i dont see akita or shepherd.I see a little bit of Pit Bull though,and Lab.My best guess is Lab/Rhodie mix.He sure is a cute boy though :)

I just realized... he reminds me a lot of a Chinook mix.....
Look at the eyes - This pup is listed as a Chinook/Shepherd..

I actually do see Akita traits in him, especially in these pics, stand the ears up and his head shape is about right especially.

I did some looking around on Dogster and found some Akita/lab mixes that look similar.

I see PittBull and Lab Akitas have a look almost chow like when we had our Akita people always thought he was a Chow. It's hard to really determine .. he's a handsome fur person none the less.

When I asked my vet what mix they thought Morty was he said, "what do you want him to be?" :p I do see pit though.

Another guess would be GSD/Akita but the flopped ears made me lean more towards lab. But here is a GSD/Akita mix I found while looking around too. I really don't see where people see pittie. A broad head with powerful jaw is an Akita trait too, and all the pittie mixes I've seen were shorter/stockier dogs whereas Camen is lean, long and leggy. I bet people would have guessed pittie mix for this GSD/Akita mix too ;)

I have to admit I'd see Akita way before I'd guess Pittie.
Like Jess said, they are short and stocky. His coat doesn't look anywhere near being a Pittie's either.

yeah, I'm not to sure as to what he is. But, he is kinda like a Lab with him liking water, very playful, and the way his ears are kinda remind me of a lab. Oh, and yes he does have webbed feet.
I'm not to sure as to the mix he is, But, when you found a picture of the Chinook breed he kinda looks like them too!
Maybe he is Chinook/Lab?
Hmm.....tuffy, But he is darn cute,smart and playful and I love him to death :)

I think he looks like a Ridgeback/Akita. His fur and some of his face looks Akitaish and his body looks Ridgebackey :D Good luck finding out his breed, and I hope you have a definate answer soon!
