How do I make Siggy?

I'm new at this and I don't how to make a siggy or an avatar? I know how to get to the place where you can edit them but I don't know how to get them or make them!?

To make them you would need some kind of program you can get Photofiltre at http://photofiltre.com and for avs you need animation shop(you can get a free trial at jasc.com) or you could just ask someone! :)

Oh yeah, there are tons of people around here who love making siggys and there are many threads about it here in general. Just post in one and I'm sure they'll whip you up one in no time:D
