My friend just got a Boston Terrier puppy, and my goodness but it is just about the cutest I've ever seen!! I've wanted a small dog for a long time (I have Dobermans) and this may be the breed I go for. I don't want to rush out and get something just because it is cute though, so I have been researching the breed some and liked everything I found out, esp. that they get along so well with other animals (I have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 horses currently). Anyone have Boston Terrier stories?? I'd love to hear more about the breed. Also, all my animals are rescued - and I'd like my next dog to be a rescue also, so if anyone knows of a good Boston rescue in the VA, MD, DC area please pass along that info too!! Thanks!

http://www.petfinder.org/ is a great tool for finding animal shelters nationally. You can even search by breed! Hope this helps, Kate

I would start visiting your nearest shelter weekly or daily, and I bet you'll come out with a whole different breed than you ever thought of having!! It happens to me all the time :D I got a WH Fox Terrier when I was looking for a Papillon and I got a Poodle when I was looking for a Yorkie :)

Next I want a Great Dane or German Shepherd, so I'll probably be coming home with a Rottie or Aussie :)

(oh yeah and I got a kitty when I was looking for a ferret!!)

Aly your such a sweet heart, you'd bring anything home that gave you one of those sad I need a home looks. Thats why I love ya soo much. Your every animals angel ;)

and don't worry I have a simular problem, can't leave any animal unloved, without a home although I don't consider that a problem more like a gift.
