Painter IX is by Corel, but maybe yours is too ? I want to turn a picture into a painting. The directions I have are to use
clone
clone with tracing paper
then you paint on it with a clone brush.
I can't make it work, any clues ??
Thanks katz

I've used a version of Coral for drawing. I would really like to draw Coral 9 (I had 8 for a little while) Too bad I don't have it on my computer anymore, I would have seen if I could help you...good luck

Me either, but thanks anyway.
The first time I opened the program I closed it right away, too hard. So yesterday I tried again, that's like after a year. And no luck. It's hard enough learning Photoshop.

Katz, I just Googled Painter 9 tutorials and found and it gave me this
http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Painter+9+tutorials&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official
maybe you could find the answer you want in one of those?

Chris

p.s. You can make lots of painting effects from the filters in Photoshop, plus there are some good add ons by plug-in for Photoshop about.

Thanks again, Katz
