Hi,

It is 7 AM and I am pretty awake but in much pain. The pain killers knocked me out last night and I just took another one too. So, I should be out very soon.

Draker has been very good. I have been getting lots of extra kisses and cuddles. He slept right next to me the entire of the night. He also was very calm and gentle during the day. I guess he knows I am sick. Either that or he is confused why I look like a chipmunk or squirel with nuts in my mouth! My face is puffy. The swelling is a bit better, but the inside of my mouth is inflamed as well. Much more than yesterday. Oh, and they had to stick me three times to finally get the IV in. My left and right arm, then finally in my left hand. They said I had dry viens. So now I have bruises where they attempted toput in the IV.

My borther took the day off and has been taking very good care of me. God bless him. We rented 3 movies right after we got back from the surgery and watched them throughout the day. He took Drake out a few times and made me mashed potatoes as well for dinner. He waited on me hand and foot and has been great!

That's all for now.

I will try and get caught up with everything later on today. Thank God for latops!

I'm so sorry to hear that you are feeling so bad but at least you are feeling some relief with the pain pills. When my daughter had her wisdom teeth out the pain pills made her sick to her stomach so she wound up not using them at all. Your note made me smile, though, when you mentioned your lap top. Isn't it funny, no matter how bad we feel we just have to check in at Pet Talk!! :D :D I hurt my back a little over a week ago, and even though it was painful to sit in my computer chair, I managed! :D :D Let brother continue to wait on you and don't do anything strenuous. Just rest and feel better and keep checking in with us!

Great to hear from you Souraya, I was wondering how it went yesterday. I has the same problems with my veins, not funny at all. Isn't it amazing how our pets sense when we are ill or something is wrong? My cats are the same, they are the best medicine.

I hope you will feel better soon and that your brother will keep looking after you. Take care.

I think you did great to feel like watching movies! I remember that I slept for two days after mine were removed, Souraya. Hope your "nurses" take good care of you. Enjoy relaxing and don't try to eat too quickly......the infection is a bad thing  . I remember it well!

Glad you checked in though. Get well soon!

I'm sorry it is so painful for you, but your Drakers sounds like he is taking good care of you and your brother too. What a great brother you have to do that for you...is he for hire?? lol I hope you're back on your feet soon and are able to eat more than just mashed potatoes!

I'm sorry your feeling so terrible:( hopefully it starts feeling better soon, I can't believe you feel well enough to give us an update on how your doing! What a brother you have there, sounds like he's taking awesome care of you, and Draker, I'm sure he knows your not feeling well & he's trying his best to make you better:D so get better soonhttp://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid18/pd4eb0c210a3706801e2ee46710956989/fdcd810b.gif Going to the dentist is the pits!

Oh Souraya, I hope you start feeling better soon.

Before I could have my braces put on when I was younger, the dentist pulled my 12 year molars, claiming my wisdom teeth would come in their place. Well they are coming in.... all crooked. Sometimes it really hurts but I can't have my wisdom teeth pulled because they are all I have for the back molars. *bleah*

Keep letting that brother of yours wait on you. ;)

And bless Drakers for being such a good boy. :)

Souraya,
I'm so glad your brother took the day off to be with you! I was worried you were going to be alone (human wise not furkid wise). I am also glad Drake is being such a good boy for his mommy!

I have something similar to yours with my veins. They roll. I now have them go straight for the hand with a butterfly needle. Less aggrivation on my part.

Take care and let us know when you have a chance and feel up to it how the wedding was.

Souraya, so good to hear from you! Pain pills and laptops....life's necessities!!!:D

Your brother sounds like a sweetheart! Is he single? (Just kidding!) ;)

And the Drakemeister is worried about you too! What a sweetie! I swear that they know. When I don't feel well, Duncan will be "fairly" quiet but when I'm just being lazy, he'll harass me until I do something with him! :D

I wish you a speedy recovery and hope to hear from you again soon!!

Hey Chipm--- err Souraya!

I have fallen behind on Pet Talk over the last week and didn't know you were getting your wisdom teeth out! I feel for ya. At least the hardest part is over and you're on the road to recovery. Give Drake a big kiss from me and I hope you're back to normal ASAP!!!

Gosh, I'm sorry you had such a rough time of it. An ice pack would help the swelling and pain some. It did mine anyway. I'm glad your brother has been there with you. One good thing is it's all over but the getting well now. Everyday puts it further in the past. Hope you are feeling lots better knowing we all are here for you, Chipmunk cheeks or not!

I hope you feel better soon, Souraya!! I hope you kept ice on your face yesterday; it's helps tremendously in keeping down the swelling and lessening the pain. I'm glad you're being so well cared for!:) Nothing like snuggling with a furry pup when you're feeling badly! Get well wishes from Star, Cody and Sandra!

Sorry to hear that you're in pain. Hope it goes away soon. The advice to use an ice pack to control swelling is a very good one. I did that after my recent knee surgery and it helped a lot.
I'm sure Drake is doing his best to make you feel better. Dogs always know; Carina didn't move away from my bed when I came back from the hospital, she didn't even want to go downstairs to eat!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Hope you are starting to feel better today. Your brother sounds like an angel. Drake is being a sweetie, too. You're getting tons of good advice, so I'll just say that we're keeping fingers and paws crossed for you here.

Best wishes for a quick healing.

Thank you for your sweet replies. I have been knocked out all day from my pain killers. My brother had to go to class but will be back at 6. He is taking excellent care of me. He is a sweet heart.
We are very close and I am nvery blessed to have him.

Drake is filling in for Al. He has not left my side since my brother left at 2.

Can't live without Pet Talk!

Thank God for pain killers. When I was down with my broken leg I took Vicodan and it helped somewhat. When I was in the hospital I had what I called DOD (Drugs On Demand) where I just pushed a little button and I got a hit of Demerol...so I understand the pain killer thing...one good thing for me,they didn't make me sleepy. Tell Al that we all think he's wunderbar! He needs to join us on here and get all the strokes that we're always giving out to each other.

I hope you're on the road to recovery soon. Keep in touch.

Whew, glad it's over - the pain will go away. I remember having worse pain the second day, or maybe I thought it was worse cause I expected it to be gone, but the worst is definitely over for you! (and thank god for pain killers :))

If it wasn't for pain killer my dad probably couldn;t walk. But then again, p[ain killers are bad. My uncle is addicted to his pain killers for his neck plus he drinks alot of alcohol... he doesnt eat, he dirnk and take his pain killers instead...he went to the hospital because he had a stroke and the hospital had to nock him into a coma. Hopefully now, he is getting help. He lives on the waaaay other coast of Florida. My dad gradpa gradma and aunt and uncle drove over there the day this all happened, offered him all the help they could and he said "No, im going to do this on my own" Hopefully that is what he is doing... I know.. this is way off subject but yeah pain killers can be bad or good. Glad they are good in your case Souraya. Hope your feeling better.

The swelling WILL go down, and someday soon, you'll feel like eating chewable food - I promise. My sister looked completely chipmunk-like when she got her wisdoms out, and I, as her kid sister, teased her pretty badly - but she let me live, anyway! I had an easier time of it years layer, didn't swell at all, but then, they didn't have to crack my jawbone like they did to get one of hers out!

Thank your brother and your Drakey boy, and feel better soon!

Souraya, Hang in there it'll pass soon. So, glad you have your Bro and that Draker is being quite the "Nurse" too. I feel your pain. Wasn't too long ago I had all 27 of my teeth removed. A Couple bagsof FROZEN PEAS as ice packs will help with the swelling. Enjoy those pain killers and don't try to eat solid food too soon, infections are NOT fun. You'll be back to normal real soon. Enjoy all the Pampering. YOU deserve it!:D

Here's to quick healing!! It's so nice that you have your brother and the Drakester to help you heal a little faster:D

I remember when I got all 4 of mine out. My sister and I both got ours done on the same day! I was a sophomore in High School!! My teeth were impacted, so they had to crack them all and take them out piece by piece. Miraculously, my mouth didn't bother me much at all afterwords! My sister on the other hand, is a different story. But, we were both hungry when we got home after the procedure and we ate noodles!! We both had a craving for mac-n-cheese, and figured...well..you can swallow noodles, so mac-n-cheese it was! LOL LOL We were a couple of chipmunk faces for a couple of days!
Amen to the hydra-codeine/painkillers! That's what we got and it really worked. I ended up giving most of mine to my sister because she ended up getting dry socket!
The hardest thing about it, is not being able to spit. You don't realize how much you spit, until you can't!

Take care and heal quickly!
**hugs**

Well, I was planning on being at work today, but I couldn't make it. The swelling has gone down, but the pain is worse. The pain killers are knocking me out. I can barely open my mouth to eat much at all. I am starving :D

Draker is still being great. He is my bestest nurse!

Poor Souraya....what the heck kind of painkillers are you on that they knock you out that badly?? Sheesh!! Poor thing. Now, I'm going to try make you smile (if you can). Look on the bright side...this gives you an excuse to have as many chocolate shakes as you want!!! Seriously, I hope you are feeling better soon. Thanks for keeping us up to date.

Well, I took today off too! I am still in pain, but the swelling is down. I should be well enough to go to work by Monday.

I am on Lortab, Molly. They keep me knocked out. I will stop taking them tonight after Andrew comes home.

That's what they gave Helen, Souraya, after her tonsil surgery. Sleeping was the absolute best thing for her, so we used it religiously until she felt like being awake and didn't have so much pain. I'm glad you were able to just stay out this week. I know "nurse Andrew" will take good care of you this weekend.

Get well soon!

I hope that you are feeling better, but isn't it nice to have an animal pet. My Tango is an instant nurse when I am feeling under the weather. Pets, what a blessing!!!!
