Speaking of kissable, I have always wanted to have cats who would allow a smooch right on their cute kitty lips - and of course most cats I have had have hated to be kissed on the lips, and have struggled to forbid it. However, both the cats I have now, Beauty and Indigo, will suffer a kiss on the lips, while being held and petted. Oh, what occasional joy - because of course I do not insist on this liberty very often - to kiss those sweet kitty lips, little white fangs and all - once in a while. Most of the time, I restrict myself to the lesser but also extraordinary joy of kissing the tops of their heads (they don't mind this in the least) or their cheeks - they understand the cheek kiss less than the top of the head kiss, but this may be because they are trying to keep their whiskers clear of the fray.
