Prayers for our new bird :(

We just got a bird today, he's a rescue from my mom's friend's mother. She's going into assisted living because she has alzheimer's. Well the bird has a wing infection and has been eating only sun flower seed so he's very unhealthy, he'll be at the vet's for a long time but the vet doesn't think he'll live :( Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers!

His name is Sparky and he's a 15 year old African Grey.

Oh, poor Sparky:(:(:( How heartbreaking, for Sparky and his former guardian. I will certianly say a prayer for him. This is too young for an African Grey to be so perilously ill:( Please, get well Sparky.

I'm pretty sure he's going to make it! He's still going to be there for awhile though

Good news! He's doing great! :D Also the nurse that's taking care of him wants to adopt him, so we're going to let them! He'll like it better than being in our noisy house. :) He's still going to be at the vet's for a long time though, I'm not sure when he'll be allowed to go home, but she'll tell us.
