I'm not sure what to say. I'm beyond sad right now. My first Betta baby was found lifeless on the bottom of his tank today :(

I don't know what happened to him. He never acted sick. He's not that old. :( :(

I'm so sorry Kay. ;[ He was such a pretty multi-colored betta boy. Definitely keep a close eye on your others, to make sure it wasn't disease-related... hopefully he died peacefully.

I just realized, he was atleast 3 or so years old... isn't that a good age for a Betta?

Thanks for your replies.. my other, Stanton, seems fine!

Yes, that is a good age. He lived a very long and happy lifehttp://www.smileypad.com/v10/Cache/Happy/Big-Smile.gif thanks to you. My dad said some are lucky to live to one. Mine are really old.

3 is a very full life! 4 is the maximum age, as far as I've seen.

Jenny ~ :/ you might want to check your water ph/ammonia, the temps youre keeping your Bettas in, and the food you're feeding them. A Betta kept in 70-80* clean disease-free water and fed a good diet should live atleast 2 years, assuming they were healthy when you got them.

Kay, I'm so sorry about Malachai. :(

I've lost two of my betta boys. One I know was sick, but the other seemed just fine and I don't know what happened. My first boy, Homer, is doing well and looks lovely.
