My friends Border Collie has gone missing. Here is her message:

"If anyone finds Chesney that is in Louisiana please please contact me by email ([email protected]) or by calling me. (949 701 0977)

He was last seen near Southeaster Louisiana University in Hammond Louisiana.

Got out around 5:30pm

Chesney is 11 months old
Black and white Traditionally marked border collie
22" tall and between 35-40 pounds

He is Chipped, but didnt have his collar on him becuase he got a bath this morning and I put him in his crate to dry while I was in class.

While I and my roommates where home one of them walked down the street to our other teammates house and 10 minutes later I noticed that Chesney was really quiet. well he wasnt even in the house, he must have snuck out the back door. I started to freak out (still am, more so worried and sick to my stomach) when I went outside to call for him some boy that lives next door said that he saw Chesney headed towards the road. . .

The whole team is out looking for him and I am here at home because I cant drive, I would not be any use, so I am waiting to see if he comes home."

I suggest you remove her contact information and have people PM you for it. You dont want a bunch of people coming on here (guests) and calling her. I hope Chesney makes it home on his own or is found! Has she checked local shelters? Pounds? Good vibes coming her way.........

(((((((((((((COME HOME CHESNEY))))))))))))))))

Chesney is FOUND! :D

"Well after 5 hours of searching and waiting, and having my stomach in knots. . . I dont know if I will ever be able to eat again. . . I went to check the park and the soccer field one more time by myself (hoping it would help with no distractions) after driving around town twice, I sat there for like 10 minutes and who comes bounding out of the bushes and creek. . . Mr. Busted Big Time!

I am so relieved that I started crying (again) when I saw him. Both of us are soaked and muddy, but he is home!

Thank you for all your guys support and tips on help (I had already had posters ready to go for the morning)

And Thank you god that he wasnt hit by a car on the busy street near he had to cross to get to the soccer field and park.

Thank you for all the everything. It truly does make a world of difference knowing people care about you."

I'm not sure if you were quoting someone or yourself...but originally did you say "couldn't drive" but then you said "by myself" and "drove all around town"

little confused by that. Glad you found Chesney though

I'm so glad this has a happy ending. Chesney is a beautiful dog. The "not knowing" is the hardest part. Glad he's chipped too.

i hope she finds her dog soon. it is not very nice when a pet goes missing. you just keep wanting it to come home and you expect it to be at the doorstep when you come home. then you start to blame yourself, even when you know it wasn't your fault. anyway good look in finding the dog. it will come back so don't worry! :)
