OK, this is really bad. We have two buns, Faith, a dutch girl, not fixed and Thomas, an English spot boy who is fixed. Well, she is...um...true to her nature in the "LOVE" category....if you catch my drift. Well, she likes to get on Thomas and well...you know....what is she doing? She's a GIRL!! Does anyone have a problem like this?

reproduction is the law of the land! sounds like bunny instinct and EVERY LIVING THING for that matter! =)

Kelly, I don't know how to help, but friend of mine had a girl bunny who did the same, not with another rabbit, but with a tennis ball  That was hilarious!
Ok, sorry, didn't help you at all. Have you asked from the vet? You said she's not fixed, do you think that makes a difference? I don't know all that much about rabbits, but I know that Faith is cutie!!!! And Thomas too!!! And nice to hear from you Kelly!

Actually Faith is probably trying to tell Thomas that she is in charge... No fooling, that's really how buns show dominance :D Bunnies of the same sex too will jump each other in this manner until they settle who is boss.

Female rabbits are prone to reproductive cancers and I would urge you to have her spayed by a rabbit specialist vet as rabbits are sensitive to anesthesia. It would also calm her down and make her more loving and the odor of her urine less strong.

SO TRUE! I posted that a while ago when I thought I had a boy and a girl and I thought they were doing....you know. :) Well it turns out I have 2 girls and they still do....you know, but I know it is a dominance thing not a reproductive thing and they are fixed.

I've never had that problem, only the boys jump on the girls here and not the problem you are having.

The only problem I have had is fighting.

Maybe you should think about getting Faith fixed. i heard that it is better to have both fixed, solves a lot of frustrations

Its the same thing that happens in the dog world. They mount each other to try to establish dominance. Sometimes it could be a sexual thing, but more often than not its dominance!

LOL LOL Yeah, I can relate to this one. Our RB doggie, Misty would ah...do this to our male cat Socks!! Mom would always get embarassed :o and tell Misty to " Stop scrounging on the cat!!" LOL LOL

My dogs are both female and fixed they will try to mount each other. My sister-in-laws dogs are both male (fixed) and they do the same...as other's have said it is more an issue of dominance then anything.
