I GOT IT!!!!!!!! ( pics - find the angels)

:D :D :D I GOT THE KEYS!!!!

What I did today: Called about furniture, went to the new house and got the keys, found a leaky drain, found the circut breaker, went to the store, went back to the new house, ate lunch at the new house, went to the hardware store to get extender chains so I can turn off the ceiling fans that insist on turning themselves on when the light is turned on, picked up my Aunt Ruth and gave her a tour of the new house, walked through the new house barefooted, took pictures of the new house, waited on the plumber, came back here and called the real estate agent, now updating you all!

I still need to go back to the house later and make sure it's locked for the night. The agent called the former owner and he will stop by after work and fix the leak. The kitchen drain has plastic pipes and they must have hit it with something while they were cleaning out under there and got it out of whack. It just needs put back together by someone who knows what they are doing.

All and all, I am so pooped and happy I may exploded. I love it over there!
I am also so sore I can hardly walk.

I am so happy for you. Hearing you talk about "walking through
your new house barefooted" , it reminds me of when I first got my
very own house. I just kept walking through all the rooms and saying
YES, YES. It was such a great feeling. :D Would love to see pictures
whenever you get them. :)

The real estate agent called and said the former owner would be later than he thought getting over to stop the leak. She said he will lock up for me so I didn't have to go back tonight.

That gave me time to share a couple of pics with you!

If you look closly at the first pic; there is a green light and a white light by the door. In the second pic, they moved over and are on the door. I never changed positions. I've heard when things like that appear in pics, they are angels.

Connie, I am so happy for you and to know that everything is proceeding as planned. The house looks very solid and should be a wonderful place for your little family to settle in. I can just picture you sitting on that front porch this coming summer. You must have someone take a picture of that. Have you met any of the neighbors yet?

Connie, I was going to post yesterday, but my phone rang........and off I went back to work.

I too, see a rocker or another chair on the front porch with YOU in it - just relaxing and taking in the fresh air and scenery.

I hope everything gets fixed and you no longer have any leaks.

Leak all fixed. I'm going to go try the washer and drying out in a bit.

First, here's a pic of the "ladybug" room. The boarder around the top has ladybugs on it. This was their little girl's room. They had a matching ladybug quilt on the bed and ladybug drapes. There was even a ladybug stepping stone in the yard. Of course, they took all those with them but it was fun seeing them.

Oddly enough, this room is the same color as the kitchen was in my grandmother's house which is just accross the alley. I lived there for a while after she died and painted the kitchen that color with yellow drapes.
This is going to be my library now.

My four year old niece wanted her room painted yellow and green with lady bugs on the walls............and lady bugs in her quilt.

Lady bugs are good luck - or so I always heard..............

Just got back here after doing my first load of laundry at my new place. Took me a while to figure out the machines. I'm used to the kind you put money in the slot and they do their own thing.

Funny thing, the washer is so deep two pairs of my undies got in the back and I couldn't reach them. I had to use my cane to fish them out! :eek: :D

My new bed and rocker recliner will come Thursday between 10 and 11! My phone service will be started that day too. I'll still have it here for a week or two. Got to get the computer moved and the cats before I can stay there all night. Got to get the cable installed too.

After that, I can stay there and just move stuff from here as I can until I get to the remaining furniture then the movers will bring it. It's going to take a while to get to that stage though!

I imagine the washer and dryer running will scare the cats to death! :D

Isn't that the best feeling, Connie? After doing laundry in a laundromat for over two years, with a toddler, I was SO happy to finally rent a house that I could put a washer and dryer in! I thought I had gone to heaven!!!!!

I got some new furniture today. A new recliner and my new bed. Zippy and Anna_66 had both sent me Walmart gift cards for my birthday. The throw is what I got from Anna and also one for the chair, there are deer on the throws. The sheets are from Zippy. They are a beautiful blue that matches the sky on the throws. You can see them peeking out of the left front corner.

The bunny angel is one I've had for years. She has broken wings but I think she still manages to watch over us, so I have her watching over the new place. Need to clean the blinds yet so don't look at the dust. :D
