Does your dog have a bump in it's nose?

If you're wondering what I mean it's basically like with people who have a bump in their nose. I was just wondering about dogs. lol

Mandy and Luka both have a bump in their nose while Nova's is completely straight. You can see Mandy and Nova's profile in my sig below.

I think she means like along the muzzle, if you compare Nova and Mandy in her siggy you will see that Novas muzzle is completly straight and while Mandys has a slight rise.

sammy and molli both have short muzzles, and lots of hair lol. i can't tell for sure, but i think they are both straight.

Only Deuce has a really obvious bump on his nose. You can kind of see it in this pic. I've actually had a biopsy done it as it just not normal. Lots of dogs have bumps like Mandy's but Deuce's looks more like a tumor or major scar. (results of the biospy were inconclusive). Deuce almost died because of that bump. Someone who saw him when he was in isolation at the shelter actually told my husband that "all dogs with a bump on their nose are aggressive." :eek: :eek: :eek:

Lady has a bump on her nose, but it's hard to see sometimes because she has a black face. Besides, she's actually getting a bit of a winter coat this year. It really looks a little silly, a normally sleek dog with a now slightly fuzzy face. :D

Yes, Gonzo has a huge nose with a big bump on it. ;) He's a hunk anyway.

Oh yeah.. Mickey has one, but Molly doesn't. Mickey has a huge nose like Gonzo.

I believe that that "bump" is called a Roman nose. It shows up a lot in Greyhounds, GSDs, and even Afghans. Giselle doesn't have it. Lucky barely claims a muzzle! :p

Visa's has a bump. Most Belgians don't have a bump on their nose, but Visa has a coarse head. Alot of judges hate a coarse head on a Belgian but I love it.
