Whenever I search Petfinder I get listings from all over the country - even when I select "Regional" or "Expanded". It kind of ticks me off, because I'm searching for male Danes in my area and when I find one I like I look and it's in Ohio or something. It would be nice to just have the ones within a few hours of me come up :p

I live in the North Florida / South Georgia area. But I would go as far as hmm .. Tennesee or Louisiana to get the right dog.

Oh, and you NEED to post pictures of your dogs! :D :p

Really? Does your shelter have a website? Mine *never* has Danes! :(

Yeah, and on about 2 occasions they had a Great Dane...I'll try to find the site.
EDIT: You want a Full Blooded Great Dane right? Not a mix?

try typing in your city instead. I just typed Tallahassee and got a page full of danes and dane mixes in all of FL. Check out this guy (http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=5670434), he's in Orlando but you said you wouldn't mind a bit of driving...
He sounds sweet (http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=5481027)
a submissive guy (http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=5360525)

Sorry if some are a bit far, I don't understand the not wanting to travel thing.

Thanks everyone. Does Petfinder do that for y'all too? I just hate having to sift through all the dogs that aren't in my area.

Ugh, it does that to me too when I use the side search on the left side of the screen. That's why I go to "Pet Search" at the top and just type in the breed and province/state that I am looking in and hit search. :)
