Grant's 2nd Birthday......UPDATED w/pics of Dog Show!!

was yesterday and no I didn't forget. I will do a better thread later on today as I am going to a dog show today. :D I went yesterday and I am going back today with my camera. :o Grant had a good day, got another new toy and he got to eat his big chewy bone I got him. So, I should have some pics coming along later. :D

August 20th, 2005 was the day you were brought home from the shelter. What a shy boy you were at first. :) It has been a long 5 months and we are still working on everything. It has been quite an experience but one I wouldn't trade for the world. You keep me on my toes. :D I want to wish you a very happy birthday handsome boy. :)

**At the dog show today they had a Doggie Fun Zone (http://doggiefunzone.com/) so I let Grant go through it. I think I have an agility dog on my hands (well duh Amber, he is a herding dog). :rolleyes: He went through on his 2nd run at 27.78. Not bad for his first time. His 1st run was like 32 something, so he did a lot better 2nd time around. He was barking waiting his turn to go the 2nd time. He was so excited. :D I wish I had a pic but I couldn't take pics and catch him at the end at the same time. He went through a course that had jumps, tunnels and an A-Frame. Crazy boy was going like a bat out of hell through there. He then got to race a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier but that dog got a bad start and Grant just kept going, that dog just came back to its owner. Grant was like yeah right I'm outta here. Alright, I'll get some of the dog show pics posted next.


Kay, I just heard about it this week. Next year maybe we can go.

That picture is of a Clumber Spaniel. Those dogs are gorgeous. So soft and wow do their ears weigh a ton. I was petting a female 6 month old yesterday and she was so soft but her ears, man they were heavy. Awesome dogs. :)

OK that's all the pics. Overall it was so fun. If anybody wants to go next year let me know. It only cost me $4 and I could re-enter the gate all day. :) There were over 3000 dogs that entered. :eek: It's an outside event so everyone brought their own dogs and they had vendors there too with different types of dog food, collars, leashes, whatever you could want. Hope everyone enjoys the pics and again HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANT!!!

Knotty the Bloodhound that won last years Eukanuba was there. I didn't see him but I heard. This seems to be a pretty big show so some of the dogs we see on TV are there. If you can't tell I was really excited about going and can't wait till next year.

OMG...I ooohed and awwed over every dog. What a great day. I would have loved to have gone to something like that. I would have been in heaven. All of the dogs are gorgeous and you got some great shots. Have to send out an extra thank you for those akita shots;)! Loved them! I got so excited to see them. The whole time I was scrolling through I kept thinking...wonder if she saw any akitas...lol. Ohh, those little kita pups!! I so wish I could have been there. Love those Irish Setters too. Gorgeous dogs. I use to walk one that looked just like them. He was such a beauty. Heheh...I'm so excited just from seeing all your pictures. Thank you!

Like Sarah said, not in Florida. It was quite warm yesterday and I even got sun burned on my arms. Grant was panting like crazy and laying in the shade. It was probably close to 80 degrees yesterday. :eek:
