We've been early spring cleaning getting ready for company this weekend from Kentucky. Low and behold we find Mouser's tail and how it happened! We were cleaning out our very messing computer room closet, when Kevin spotted "the tail". Also there was a table paper cutter and hair and blood! I can only imagine what torture poor Mouser went through! :( The closet is now completely emptied out and a nice new area for litter boxes. Here's Mouser discovering his loss:

Awww, poor Mouser, but he doesn't seem to hold any grudges towards it.

Amazing how cats can get into things we never expected!

So the cat police figured out what happened to poor Mouser now? That had to be a most harrowing experience for the poor guy and then you come home to find all that blood everywhere.... Ewwwwww! I am glad we finally know what happened to the poor baby that night...

Oh poor Mouser, it must have hurt terrible. :( :( I remember the shock you got when you discovered it, with blood everywhere. At least, now you know what happened - I bet the paper cutter is stored in safe place now.

Yes! Exactly that. What we figure is Paisley would hide out in that closet (she's still semi-feral) and Mouser is very aggressive with her. We think he went in after her and during the scuffle knocked the paper cutter in a way it caught his tail and off it went! I'm just glad we finally got it solved and the danger out of there! The nice thing is I'm able to tuck the litter boxes in there now and the cats seem to really like it. Gives them a litte more privacy! :) We will now keep our closets in better order! :D

Poor Mouser.
But it could have been a lot worse,if he had gotten one of his paws stuck under the blade.
Thank God,for small mercies!!
And we are glad that Mouser is All Right.

OMG! I can't imagine just cleaning away and coming across something like this!

Gary is so right that Mouser is lucky it was just his tail, but like you say, at least the mystery is solved and now you know.

Poor Mouser!

But then again he shouldn't have been terrorizing poor Paisley in the first place! :p

Poor Mouser. What a terrible experience that must of been. I am glad he's healing up nicely & everything is taken care of so it won't happen again.

It is amazing what they can get into sometimes.

Poor Mouser.
I'm glad the mystery is solved now.
His tail wasn't lost, it was just misplaced for a while.
Did he ever try to tell you to look in the closet?
I'm sure he knew it was there all along.
