The little faces that keep me going ....

I've been having some depressed days again, mainly since losing April. Today I really was overwhelmed with emotions and went upstairs to sit and spend time with my kitties. It was a very tearful yet beautiful moment all wrapped up in one. I sat in the floor, and all of my babies came to my rescue once again, showering me with love, purrs, headbumpies and all the affection that anyone could ever hope to receive. Through my tears, I realized how blessed I have been to have the love of so many kitties ... and how they love in such a beautiful and unconditional way. Kitties are color blind, blind to age, outer beauty, personal flaws, weaknesses, and imperfections. They see deep into our souls, and pull out the pieces of ourselves that are special gifts from God, things that no one else on this earth may ever see. After pulling myself together, I went and grabbed my camera. I wanted to share with each of you, the tiny little faces that greet me every day, overlook my flaws, and keep me going. There are alot of pictures, so I will be adding them in several posts. Please bear with me, and I hope they bring you something special.

Oh! What a wonderful bunch of little faces to keep anyone going! I knew you were having a time dealing with April's passing.

BUT, I think what you did was the best therapy in the world, just go sit with all the ones you still have, let your sorrow come out and let THEM comfort YOU! Aren't they just the most amazing little creatures God ever created!? It is easy to see why we grieve so when we loose one, they are each special for their own reason, each has their own personality and traits that we love and they are ALL great therapy....there is a lot to be said about purrrrrr therapy!

kim, brave(r than me lol) of you starting this.. adding sweet faces to it made this sweeter. I've been on that kind of page more than enough, I understood you dear, totally. all of them look soo friendly & sweet, you couldn't even look away! warm fuzzies around your heart, best thing, keep us going! (I sure hope we, big hairless faces too). :)

love how you should name every of them in...hmm, I'm learning your cherished furrflowers! forgive me - I still can't tell much difference between rusty & riley and sherlock & sheldon as quick as you! :o soon I will.....if you post more! :D ;)

Such wonderful pictures of your beautiful babies. They warm my heart and make me feel good.

I think we all can relate to those feelings that we have, then a sweet furry face comes up to us and gives us a head-bumpie, a sweet purr, or just jumps in our lap for some loving.

I always go to my boys when I am feeling bad or blue. They are always there for me.

Oh my, I can surely relate to the feeling you describe and think many or all of us can, too. Kitties are the very best therapy and love us so much. Those furry faces of yours are adorable! I believe I can hear some purrs...

Oh Kim (((HUGS))) I am sorry you've been feeling depressed again. I know its hard .... you already feel depressed and then get more depressed that you're depressed again. Thank you ALL for such kind and caring words, they truly mean so much to me! Sometimes I think I have been given more than my own share of emotions, and teardrops! :rolleyes: I guess that is God's plan for me though, so that I never stop FEELING! I don't ever want to get to the point where I have no emotion at all, but a little break from time to time would be "ok". :p

Deb: Seeing the pics of Robbie and Lizzie brought more tears (sorry, that's all I seem to have just now) :rolleyes: .... but they are tender tears, fond memories of those two precious little ones that I was blessed to love from birth. Thank you so much for loving them and continuing to let me share in their lives! ;)

Smokey the Elder: Rusty and Riley, I took in when they were little kittens. We always have called them the "twins". Even my vet called them "Pete" and "Repeat"! :D It became easy for me to tell them apart once they matured a little, but when they were small I actually had to color code them with their collars!!! They were adopted 3 years ago, and recently returned to me, as the couple had a new child who had developed severe allergies to them. I will have to start a new thread with some of their baby pics!

Kim it's so good to see all those faces. I have such good memories of visiting your beautiful home with so many wonderful kitties around. Your home just seemed like such a warm inviting place.

When I took Rocky and Rumor to the vet last week I told her about how you took them, their mom and brothers and sisters in and found homes for all. I also told her you had Fuzzy and she was plump too so it was genetics. :o Anyway, she was very interested and impressed with your rescue work.

Kim I've been in your shoes too, loving and then losing special kitties. I also know what you mean by the others, with those sweet innocent dependent little faces, pulling you out of the dumps. Isn't it marvelous how they know when we hurt and tend to swarm like bees to honey? Headbumpies and noserubs help dry the tears. :) Kissies to all your beauties, and ((HUGS)) to you. ;)

All of your words are so nice! I know that I am blessed, and I try so hard not to get so down ... but hormones and illnesses tend to hit me hardest when I'm already sad for a "good" reason like April's passing!

We are ALL very blessed to have such wonderful companions and true friends as we have in our special kitties. They are definitely one of God's greatest gifts! :)
