This is Norman, our new furkid. He came to live with us on Saturday, January 14th 2006.

The late Sasha's veterinarian said:
"give Norman 3 weeks to adjust"... because Norman's people moved to Texas from Montreal, Canada and could not take him! Saturday he was a bit nervous; late in the day he came out of hiding and decided to check our his new Palace. Norman also got into bed with us.

Sunday night Norman decided to spend the whole night with us...and we think this is now his custom as Norman slept with us again last night! He is adorable as you can see by his photo.

Norman is a Bengal tabby -- handsome, isn't he??

We are thrilled with our boy.

I have to agree with Catmandu, it must have been so hard for Norman's people to let him go. But at least they can rest assured that he is in a very good home!!! I think it is great that he is already sleeping on the bed with his new parents!!!! Many happy years to Norman and his new family!!!!

I'm so glad you are able to open your hearts and home to this beautiful boy. Does his former family know that he has been adopted? I think it would ease their hearts to know that he is in such a loving home. Norman sounds like a wonderful cat!

Norman is 8 years old. His former people now live in Texas. They asked Dr A [vet of both Norman and the late Sasha] to find a loving home for him. I met Norman on September 12th and began visiting him. It took me about 1 nano-second to fall in love with Norman. Sasha's Paw-Paw was not ready for a kitty so I had to be patient.

Myra [she took the photo of Norman] suggested I tell Murray [Paw-Paw] that I really, really needed a pussycat to love -- a pussycat for my birthday was my wish. Well, my birthday is at the end of the month and I have my wonderful gift! Murray has just flipped over Norman as I knew he would.

Norman's people (who now in Texas) love him. Imagine this: Dallas is 1514.18 miles from Montreal; Norman's former "daddy" came to see him in November!

Our veterinarian will certainly phone Norman's Texas people to tell them she has placed him with us.

We think all of our darlings at RB had a meeting & decided Norman was for us. Will post more photos of him later this month. Thank you for being so happy for us and for Norman. No Forum is better than Cat/Dog/Pet of the Day.

How wonderful that Norman (I love his name!) has found a loving home with you. His former parents must be very relieved. Norman looks very relaxed and 'at home' with his new surroundings.

Welcome, Norman! You are one cool dude!!

Norman arrived 14th January 2006. Dr A said we should give him approximately three weeks to fully adjust and feel comfortable and at ease in his new home. I took some photos on Thursday and Friday -- seems Norman is a "quick study". Our house is a duplex; my brother & his wife live in the upper; we live on the main floor, and we have a large basement.

The basement which has big, bright windows is where I have my computer room and sewing room. It also has a self-contained bachelor apartment, with full kitchen, bedroom & bathroom. We do not rent this space; we use the whole downstairs.

As you can see by the photos, Norman has made himself comfortable upstairs on our bed, and downstairs in the bachelor kitchen where he likes to be King of the Castle -- on the bachelor apartment fridge! He is sweet, affectionate and always with us; Norman sleeps with us.

Norman looks like he has always been with you! I am glad to see he has adapted so quickly to his new furrever home :) He is the King now. Is he a talkative cat?

His twin Peppito insists to give Norman a head bump, he says Norman is very-very beautiful (of course, he looks like Peppito! :D ) and he wishes him a very long life with his new loving purrents! :)

Oh, My goodness! How did I miss this?

Norman is adorable!!!

Believe it or not, every morning I ask God to give Sasha lots of hugs, cuddles and kisses. I've also asked that she help pick just the right kitty love to send to you!

I can't help but believe she paw picked him herself!!! :D

Hi Lisalee & Sash,

Odd! I just this minute finished looking at Sash's website and yours too. Posted a message in both using my moniker "KatMa - Sasha the Cat".

Norman & Sash do resemble each other. I LOVE cats and have always loved them. I remember my very first kitty - a beautiful gray bobtail with blue eyes. She was a family member before I was born. My late Mother said once I could focus my eyes, they were always focused on the cat. I still remember her.

When I look at cats, dogs, horses, -- basically all animals -- then I think that maybe God truly exists. However, awful beings who harm animals erase that good feeling very quickly.

Norman is just adorable. I wanted him to come home with me in late November. After numerous visits to Norman since September 12th, I just had to bring him home. Was worried because Murray didn't seem ready to welcome a cat into our home; however, the worry was for nothing.

I hear "Hi, Sweetheart!" from Murray and that means Norman has just walked into whichever room Murray is at that moment. Murray tells Norman "they couldn't take you to Texas and if they want you back, they can't have you" and he tells Norman how fine he is, how smart, gentle, cute, sweet. But the ultimate is when Murray tells Norman "Sasha would be proud of you" :p :p :p

Personally I think Sasha arranged all of this for us...

Will post more photos later this week.

Norman is a very handsome guy, and looks to have adjusted in no time flat. I am sure a certain calico angel was whispering in his ear "Relax, kid - I trained these folks well. You're in for the good life now!"

When Sasha was ill I would make her "Chicken Jell-O". In the many wonderful, caring responses to Sasha I believe someone mentioned they would like the recipe.

If this is the correct PT Forum to submit that recipe, let me know. Time helps and I was able to make this for Norman. I will be happy to post it if there is interest.

Just let me know where in PT it should be written.
