Clifford's story here:

The lastest news on Clifford...

Clifford had his six week check-up this week. They took some more films of his chest and Dr. Mortimer saw changes that he was a bit concerned about. Clinically he was doing great. Lots of energy, no coughing and his appetite was superb to say the least. A cardiologist happened to be coming into the clinic today so we had him take a look at Clifford to see what he thought. Clifford was more than happy to come to work with me yet again...he loves it there! The specialist was nice enough to do the echo at no charge (Thank you Dr. Woodfield!) and he said that most of the changes we saw will clear up in the next 4-5 months post heartworm treatment. Typically he doesn't even bother re-checking the chest for 6 months out....just for that reason.

Yay for Clifford!

I was going to keep him in the back today but I decided to try him out up front to see how he did. So I tethered him behind the desk and he did great! It's a tall desk so he can see people and people can see him but he can't come nose to nose with another dog. He loved it! A couple of dogs were tall enough to put their front feet up on the counter and Clifford could see them and he just wagged. No barking or anything. He got to meet lots of people....all of whom he loved and he won over lots of people. There was one lady who insisted on putter her dog in the car before she checked out because she was scared of 'those kinds of dogs'. *roll eyes* All the while, Clifford's doing the full body pitty wag at her. I was really proud of him today....except for the farting he was perfect!

So now Clifford gets to start going on walks and learing some leash manners! Whoo-hooo! We're going to get him neutered in the next 2-4 weeks and he'll officially be up for adoption!

*whimpers* I've been looking at getting a pittie when we're in our new place and I wish...I wish I wish I could have a big beautiful luscious boy like Clifford!

I'm so glad he's doing well! Great job getting through that heartworm treatment Clifford, it's no fun at all!
