Is there a shortcut for Internet Explorer in your start menu? If so, right-click on it and drag it onto your desktop, then unclick. When the context menu pops up, select "Create Shortcut". This is how you create shortcuts for ANY icon or program :)

I don't advise using Internet Explorer though because of its security vulnerabilities and such. I like FireFox better :D

Well it is in MY opinion, but it really is just preference. For security reasons yes, Firefox is a better browser. http://getfirefox.com
