FIP has taken my big girl April

She had gone down rapidly the past couple of weeks .... lost weight and was low-energy. I had taken her for a brief "work you in" vet appt. last week and they just gave her an antibiotic for Upper Respiratory. Over the weekend she got no better, and her gums were white! I knew her belly also felt extra soft, and that was in the back of my mind.

Took her to a very thorough vet today, had a belly tap and x-ray which was conclusive for FIP. She was PTS.

I am heartbroken as she was a true lover girl, and was sharing herself with me and Dr. Brunner up to the very end.

Rest in Peace my beautiful big Coon girl, Miss April. :( :( :(

Thank you all for the comforting words. I still can't believe this has happened. I just never expected this with April. I knew though when I saw her very pale gums that something was very wrong. :(

Kim: I am so sorry to just see this . . . I can't believe the news about April. I know you've had her for awhile and I just can't believe what I'm reading. I know you must be hurting so much . . . I know she was loved so much by you, as all of your babies are.
