This is my Uncle's dog Peanut...I thought it would be fun to see what you guys think he is. We do know the two breeds, it was an accidental litter between neighbors. (and yes, he is intact   )

Good luck!!

Is there Malinois in him?

Malinois x Corgi

or

Shepherd x Corgi?

Nope, none of those :)

Think of two small breeds, he only stands maybe about 12 inches tall.

Chihuahua x JRT?

JRT is correct :D

ETA: His dad was the Jack russell, he really doesn't resemble his momma much..at all...

WOW. I know he doesn't but he REALLY looks like he has some corgi in him! Look at those ears!

Otherwise the only other option would be dachshund X JRT

Need a hint? The other breed has a longish coat...

JRT & bassett?

I'm guessing he has to have some breed in him with a long back because he has a long back too, like corgis & dachshunds (but you already said no to those breeds).

Okay, give up??!

He is a

JRT/Pomeranian mix  I told you he looks nothing like his mother, lol.

is your uncle planning on keeping him intact?

Most likely  :( I have tried over and over and over explaining the pros of neutering but he won't hear it. Even when we were there Peanut lifted his leg 3 times in the house, I tried explaining if he was neutered he wouldn't do that but he is the type of person who always knows everything and won't take advice from anyone

Wow, you were right, actually I personally think he doesn't resemble either breed all "that" much. You can see some JRT in him, but not a lot.
He's a cutie.

Thats too bad that the owners won't "wake up & smell the coffee".

German Pinscher x JRT?

Well once he starts doing it, neutering won't stop it because he already knows to do it, if that makes any sense. Maybe not for marking but just like when male cats spray in the house because they aren't fixed. Once they start doing it, fixing them doesn't make the behavior go away entirely. It may curb it though.

Anyway good luck convincing him to neuter!

I knew he had JRT but to me he looked a lot like he had some Malinois in him too.

I wish your uncle would neatur him... there is no reason to keep a mixed breed intact. I know how you feel about the know it all people though... there are a lot of those in my family :p At least you tried!

He looks a lot like a dog I used to know who was Pom/MinPin, what a cutie!
