I was accepted to Michigan State University!!! Yes, me, I was accepted!!! Ahhh!!!! :D I have been waiting forever (okay...4 months) to hear anything back from them, sorry this is a pretty pointless post but I'm just super excited! I didn't think I would be, my entry essay was AWFUL, I really was preparing myself for a sorry, find a new school letter...

Now to choose, do I go to the slightly cheaper, further away, smaller school (Ferris State University), or do I go to the slightly more expensive, school known for their vet program, I can live at home school (MSU)!?!?!?

Congratulations!!!

About your decision, make a list of the Pros and Cons for each school. What about the college life seems more important to you? Maybe it's smaller classes, or living in a dorm, or focusing on your studies fully by living at home. Maybe the overall education over the college experience/life means more to you. Such as, does one have a better program for you, or are they equal and one's just not as well known? Or maybe it's the net cost. Does one offer you more money?

Good luck with your decision!

Congratulations!!!! First question - do you *WANT* to live at home? It makes a big difference in the "college experience" for some people, though educationally it should not matter ...

Congratulations!!!! First question - do you *WANT* to live at home?

Ummm, partially, yes because of all of my animals. I take care of and pay for everything for my 2 dogs, 3 guinea pigs and gecko, it would make it a lot easier on my family if I did stay at home. Buuut I do want to live on campus, I want that experience. If I were to go to Ferris we worked it out with my Aunt to keep Jack for me (she lives 20 miles away from the campus) and he would be getting constant attention (unlike at home if I'm not there :( ) and I could see him on the weekends and stuff. Our house is about 2 hours from Ferris. But if I went to MSU I could still live on campus and only be 20 minutes from home so I could come home when I want or need something but still have a quiet place to study and be more independent. Its just that I'm really torn, if I had zero pets that I needed to worry about this would be 100x easier, lol, a simple choice..Ferris. I have until March to make a desicion because thats when deposits are due.
