Well, Starr will be 6 this year, and she's done a great job producing many beautiful babies. So I am retiring her from the whelping box and she is getting spayed January 24th. This is the first dog I've owned that has been spayed, so I'm already nervous about it!!!

Aww don't be nervous! It's a very simple procedure, and she will probably have some stitches, but everything will be ok! I'll keep her in my thoughts on the 24th. Good Luck!

Everything will be fine :) Don't worry but some things to expect that we've learned with Missie Jillian, they come home to you usually the day after surgery, all stinky and yellow, your not supposed to clean that off for a while, the stitches Jillie got just disolved but we had to help it with some stuff cause they were stubborn about disappearing. She also had some "trouble" going pee for about 3 days after surgery, but other then that its all pretty basic? Just love 'em and baby them and they'll be back to normal in a week.

lol don't worry spaying is muuuch less nerve-racking than a pregnancy and whelping! It's really not a big deal. But good luck nonetheless!

I was the same way when zoey got spayed. I know she will be ok, but I will still do some prayer for you and your family.

I've paced the floor everytime I had to leave one of my furkids for surgery! Of course it always turned out ok. ;) My Lacey was up and chasing the cats by 6:00 am the morning after her spay! Pawsitive thoughts headed out for Starr. :)

She'll be just fine! You're a good mom to worry about her. (I know that I'm constantly worring about my girl) :) Don't worry to much, though!
