I use MSN Spaces (http://spaces.msn.com/) I put all my pictures there so they will be safe in case my computer crashes.I have no clue about homepages or how to design one but I feel the urge to learn ;) :p

I know!!! Ok basically there's 2 options...You can both see both of mine.
Ok this one lets u store tons of photos, and I made this one myself. It's Easy and free, and u can get all kinds of glittery stuff for it at glittergraphics.com .
The site's actually http://piczo.com and mine is http://brianap0721.piczo.com . The other one someone made for me. It's on Yahoo Geocities. Its alot more complicated, I would recommend the other one. But this is my Geocities one. http://geocities.com/hellokittybbp HOPE THAT HELPS! :)

Most of the free ones nowadays have ads on them. I don't really know of any because I buy my own domains. But, if you sign up on angelfire.com and choose the pop-up ads, there is a code you can place on your page to stop the pop-ups. Plus, most people have pop-up blockers anyway. I'm not sure if they still have this option because it's been a few years since I've signed up there, but you can always try it.

If you guys look up on making your home computer a personal server, you can do SOOO much on your homepage.

I say check out tucows.com to see what they have.. then you can more then likely use a PHP based website, like Drupal, or Post Nuke (I reccomend both).

I cannot tell you guys what to use as a server because I do not run windows, nor am I incharge of the monster web/email server downstairs...

Just as a taste, heres both of my sites

Post Nuke
my personal site (http://jess.iahu.ca)

Drupal
My not so personal site, but it CAN be personal if you want it to be (http://thedogdish.iahu.ca)

My Drupal site is still under construction, but I LOVE the support & look :)

If anyone needs some help with Drupal or Post Nuke, I can "try" to help.

http://freewebs.com

I eventually just purchased my own domain and hosting though through http://surpasshosting.com instead. $10/month for 6GB of space for a reseller. Their shared hosting is as low as.. I think $6 a month :)

If you guys are looking for a place to host images in an image gallery type place, please look into using http://zoto.com. If you would like to help me out, PLEASE let me know and I will email you an invitation and if you sign up using that invitation I get an extra 100MB of space on my account. This also works for you -- if you refer someone and you email them and they use it then you get 100MB of space :)
